Great review!

| | Comments (0) | TrackBacks (0)
I got the nicest note from my bride from 5/12/07 (their pictures are yet to be blogged - but I am making a comeback on blogging - so stay tuned!) I just had to share her note - it made me feel so good! I edited a few things out that weren't necessary to the post (like logistics of picking up her pictures and such).

Kerry, these are awesome!!! I've looked at them so many times today. Thank you so much for the incredible job you did - everyone who's seen the pics so far absolutely loves them, Scott and I most of all. And thank you also for being so great to work with and for going above and beyond your role as photographer the day of the wedding. I sure appreciate all the extra things you did to help things run smoothly and to help keep me calm.

I'm sure you have past clients lined up a mile long willing to offer glowing reviews and references, but please add Scott and me to the list - we'd be more than happy to tell any potential clients about our wonderful experience with you. Take care, and we'll talk to you soon!

Stacy

These dogs and their people are pretty amazing!! If you ever get the chance to go see a trial - do it!

One of my past clients (Dana and Drew from May 2006) mom called me and asked if I would be available to shoot on Capitol Hill for a Kids on Congress event! I jumped at the opportunity. There were more than 100 kids and their families on Capitol Hill from all over the United States. They had arranged meetings with Senators and Congressmen from every state to get their help to some regulations passed for how schools should deal with food allergies. This is a great thing, because a lot of these kids have very severe allergies!! You can view FAAN's website here (http://www.foodallergy.org/). Here is what I saw: Darcy, Thank you for contacting me to cover this event. IT was a great experience. I know the kids got some support for the bill and I hope they continue to get the support that they need. Thank you Julie for helping me today!

Andy's Senior Session 4-30-07

| | Comments (0) | TrackBacks (0)
Today I had my first senior session - and they are great fun. Hopefully they are as much fun for the client as much as for me! I met Andy at his house and then we proceeded to go to his school (where we hit the tennis courts) and then the golf course and then ended back at his home! Homer the dog and Marbles the cat (I think that was the cats name) even made some appearances! Here is what I saw:
(yes that is Andy in the golf club!)
Thank you Andy for having me help you remember this great time of your life! I wish you all of the best as you head to Hood College in the fall!
To all of you Seniors out there - or all of you who know a senior - give me a call if you want to have a ball and get some cool senior portraits!!!

Today was a gorgeous day for a wedding. Today's event was held at Gramercy Mansion in Baltimore, Maryland (http://www.gramercymansion.com/). I am going to try to find out who the cater was because the food was super yummy. I do know that the cake was provided by: Mary Elliott and was yummy too.
Here is what I saw:
I had a slight obsession with Karrie's shoes because um they were RED (i hope 3 pictures aren't too many of one girls shoes! - but really this is just a drop in the bucket of the images taken of these little gems!):
Karrie and Chad did the ever popular option of seeing each other before the wedding. Which enables us to take all of the pictures before the ceremony! This is great fun. Yet not too traditional and not all that common just yet - I seem to be getting this request more and more. IT is lots of fun though - because I get to capture the first seeing a bit better than during the ceremony.
I could post a lot more - and just may at a later date when I get caught up a bit more, but will stop there for now.
Congratulations Karrie and Chad, Thank you so much for choosing me to be a part of this special time of your lives, it was truly an honor to work with you and your families and friends. I wish you both a lifetime of love and happiness together.
Thank you Heather for assisting me today.

I don't normally do 2 events in one day - but this just worked out. I had a wedding booked for 4-21-07 and was contacted to do this shorter event in the morning - so I said yes! Today's event was held at a private residence in Great Falls, Virginia. It was a lovely day for a wedding by Walker Lake. Here is what I saw: This little turtle decided to oversee the ceremony as well - stand in Best Man or Maid of honor (don't have any idea if it was a male or female turtle!)
Tim and Karen thank you for choosing me to be a part of your day, it was truly a blessing. I wish you both a lifetime of love and happiness together.
Kelly thank you for assisting me today.
John and Melonie - it was great seeing you as well!

So I am a bit behind on thee old blog!
It was a gorgeous day for a wedding!! Today's event took place at Ox Hill Baptist Church in Chantilly, Virginia (http://www.oxhillbaptist.org/) and Evergreen Country Club in Haymarket, Virginia (https://www.memberstatements.com/login/login.cfm).
Here is what I saw:
Ruth and Lee met in a Tae Kwon Do studio and therefore had a demonstration during the reception. IT was quite cool.
IN these 2 pictures - you can see that one of the boards almost took me out - in fact I felt it go through my hair!
This wedding had some of the cutest kids ever: Here are just a few of them:
Ruth and Lee, Thank you for choosing me to be a part of your special day, I thoroughly enjoyed it. I hope you enjoyed your time in Nags Head! I wish you both a lifetime of love and happiness together.
Thank you for Heather for assiting me today.
