Today we had a hot gorgeous day for a wedding! Today's event was held at Circle D Farms in Woodbine, Maryland.
Here is what I saw:
Marissa and Travis had the cutest flowergirls and the cutest sign carrier girls (not sure what they are really called)! I think was so cute. The first picture was before the marriage and then when Marissa and Travis were announced Husband and Wife - they proceeded up the aisle behind the second sign. So clever and cute!
Marissa and Travis, thank you for choosing me to be a part of your wedding, it was truly an honor! I wish you both a lifetime of love and happiness together. I hope you have a great time in the Dominican Republic for your Honeymoon!
Thank you Brian for assisting me today!

WHOA - MY HEAD IS FULL! (or my cup as John Michael Cooper from Altf.com might say!)
I am trying to catch up on e-mails - and just had to share this.
ANOTHER STELLAR Review:
Kerry,
We just got home from vacation, and found our photos waiting for us. They are so beautiful! They looked gorgeous online, but the prints just took my breath away. I can't wait to choose the ones we're going to enlarge - but it's going to be so hard to decide! I started going through the album and stack to pick out my favorites, and after I had a pile of 150 or so, I gave up. While I truly love the pictures of Chris and I (how did you get them to be so good? neither of us are that photogenic) I also wanted to really thank you for all the candid shots of our guests. The day was such a blur - but there are the shots that really bring it back to me, and it's so nice to see that all the folks were having so much fun. Thank you so much! I especially love the photo of my two guy friends dancing - I totally missed that at the reception!
Take care, and thank you thank you thank you!

Amy and Srinu invited me to assist them in their first ever dress trashing. While no dresses were actually trashed - we did have a lot of fun. The day started out a little rocky when Amy ran out of gas - but thankfully we got squared away - but boy that was a lot of excitement!! A first for me. I have never run out of gas myself, or been with anyone who had - and literally that car woudn't budge an inch!
Ashley and Luckas came up from Florida for their session.
I spent a lot of the time using the Regeti's video camera (while I am not a videographer - I did my best!! I was also able to grab a few shots that I felt were keepers and worth sharing!!
Here is what I saw:
These 2 shots were gotten right before the rent-a-cop through us out of Reston Town Center.
A shout out to Linda for the gorgeous flowers and Salon Nordine who did a fabulous job on Ashley's hair and makeup.
Amy and Srinu - Thank you for letting me assist you all and tag along, and thank you for dinner as well! I always have a great time with you guys and learn a lot!
Stay tuned for more TTD from me - I am participating in a huge one in Atlantic City on July 16th, I am participating in a DC one on July 15th, and finally 3 of my clients and I are heading to the beaches of Delaware on July 21st!!!

My clients from June 23rd - just e-mailed me this:
Kerry,
I just wanted to send you a quick note and let you know how excited we are to see the pictures. They came out great!! I can’t stop checking them out. We’ve already had a bunch of people express how much they liked them, and they’ve only been online for a day now. People also told me that they liked the business card with the web address on it. I like it too so that I don’t have to give it out a million and one times. You did an excellent job. Keep doing what you’re doing… you’re great at it. I’ll be sure to keep your contact information handy for others that might be needing a photographer. I would highly recommend you again.

I keep getting asked why I have been assisting other photographers. Well the short answer is - I can always learn from someone else. I commit to only shooting 25-30 weddings a year (a big difference from 2005 where I logged over 55 weddings and in 2006 over 34!). So while I like to use my free weekends to spend my time with my hubby and my friends (A big shout out to the Anglebergers who book me weeks in advance) I also like to assist other photographers!
I learn a ton while shooting with others.
So for those inquiring minds - there is your answer :)

This weekend - I shoot with Corbin again - since my 7/7/7 wedding postponed.
Then Sunday I head to Atlantic City for a photography convention with the ever fabulous Ray Prevost (Photoshop Guru! from California), Tina Wilson (an amazing portrait photographer from Tennessee), The Bebbs (a fabulous husband/wife team from Canada which were voted to the best 10 wedding photographers in the world!!!), and finally the Coopers (another amazing husband and wife duo from Vegas who are credited for starting the whole Trash the Dress trend!!).
Phew I am exhausted thinking about how full my brain will be next Thursday!! But hey I do this for you my clients! I make it a point to learn from the best in my industry and to really stay on top of the industry standard both locally and nationally and internationally!
I will try to get these posts all caught up before I head out to AC on Sunday!!
