so as you all know I am behind on the blog!
I have at least 6 posts for October 2007, 4 for November 2007, and 14 from December 2007, 2 from January 2008, 3 from February 2008, and so far 1 for March 2008.
SO - I will flashback to the posts from days gone by! But I might post current sessions as well.
So the next post will be a family session from February! The Brunks are a family that I have shot before, but they have a new addition to the family! They had me come and take photos of the new baby Leah (Yay - they were so excited to have a girl!) and the whole family!
Stay tuned!
I have been doing a lot of networking lately and I figured I would share with you guys some of what I am finding!
Today I want to tell you about The Organized Bride. This is a great store in Frederick, Maryland!
I met Tara at the Bridal shows that I participated in last month and was very impressed with some of the items that she had on display. She invited me to come into her store and check it out!
It is a great store!!! They have the greatest ideas and items in there from favors to invitations to toasting flutes to garters. She also has the greatest Candy Bar set up that you can rent!!
Definately check her store and her website out! I totally wish she had been around when I got married almost 5 years ago (WOW - I can hardly believe it has almost been 5 years!!!)
I seem to be having technical difficulties and duplicate posts here on the blog. On my screen it shows only one post - but the blog is showing 3 of the same post.
SORRY!!
We are looking into this!
Well - it seems to be fixed!
I had yet another bridal expo this past weekend! It was great to meet so many brides! I also had some of my current clients and past clients stop by!
I was super excited to see the article in the Frederick News Post on the day after the show:
| Brides flock to wedding expo Originally published January 28, 2008 By Sarah Fortney News-Post Staff | ||||||||||
The Main Event's 22nd annual wedding expo attracted bevies of brides to the Holiday Inn near FSK Mall on Sunday. About 100 vendors offered most of the items on any bride's checklist -- venues, photographers, disc jockeys, skin care services, jewelers, bachelorette party-organizers -- and a few they might not have thought of -- such as custom bra-fitters. Last year's event attracted more than 1,000 people, according to Carol Cahall, president of the Main Event. She expected the same turnout this year, if not greater. A line of brides waited outside the hotel before the doors opened at noon. Cahall said the company, which started as a retail party supply store in Mount Airy, will start planning today for next year's show. Like some weddings, the expo takes about a year to organize, between booking the venue and scheduling vendors. Proceeds from admissions went to the Frederick chapter of the American Cancer Society. Brides-to-be, their friends, family and fiancŽs supported the ACS while entering contests to win door prizes, watching a fashion show and sampling wedding cakes. Many said they came to look for a few particular vendors. Other newly-engaged couples hoped to scope out as many corners of the expo as possible. As they sampled wedding cake, Anna Boyer, of Middletown, and Keith Fowler, of New Mexico, said they got engaged about two weeks ago. Like others at the event, Boyer said she is already starting to feel stressed about the wedding, though they won't tie the knot until November. The expo was an opportunity for them to start getting some ideas. "It's all the stuff we need to find out about all in one place," Boyer said.
OF all of the things that the reporter could have taken pictures of at the show - they chose my display!!! Too bad they didn't have the decency to give me credit! |
